The following is from an obscure editorial section of a 1985 comic called the Elementals written by Bill Willingham, in which it quotes an interview from a 1985 US News & World Report that I found interesting. The more things change the more they stay the same as this is just as relevant today as it was nearly 30 years ago as our civil liberties and freedom seem to disappear a little more each year.

Our kids are growing up in an age of comic book movies where the real villains are easy to identify, but like the author says, it’s not always that easy. Sometimes it’s important to go back and see a freeze-frame in history to see how archaic our thinking was, and wake us up to what we want to see 25 years from now.
