Today I had an interesting experience I’d like to share as I had my first ever chakra balancing. What are chakra’s you may ask? I included a little bit of information below from the website Creativity in Life that will do a far better job at explaining chakras than I ever would.

What are Chakras?

Let me introduce you to the 7 chakras which a human body houses. There balanced state is responsible for our healthy physical and mental bring.

Each Chakra is like a spiral of energy elating to the others. Together the 7 chakras form the energy system of our body. Chakras are controlled by endocrine glands and nervous system. Each chakra is related to one of the endocrine glands in our body. Endocrine glands secrete hormones. So, you can conclude that our hormone secretion depends on body chakras aided by neurotic reflexes. (I hope this is making sense to non-science people!

Let me tell you the names and location of 7 chakras. Visualizing our body from feet to head we have:

  1. Root chakra (Kundalini)
base of spine and the pubic bone and includs genitals and reproductive organs.
  2. Sacral chakra (svadhisthana)
behind and just below the navel
  3. Solar plexus chakra (manipura)
    above the navel
  4. Heart chakra (anahata)
    midway between shoulder
  5. Throat chakra (visuddha)
    throat area
  6. Brow chakra/Third eye (ajna)
    centre of head, behind forehead
  7. Crown chakra (sahasrar)
    top of head

So for those who have never experienced a chakra balancing, here is a little of what you could expect. First off it starts with a light massage, with numerous scented oils being applied to your body. Then she proceeded to work on each individual chakra and since this was my first time she told me not to expect a whole lot, but she would give a report at the end. As I said I really had no idea what to expect so I just closed my eyes and relaxed. Some people fall asleep during the massage, but I stayed awake the entire time to fully experience it.

As she worked through the different chakras I found the oils very refreshing. I have mild asthma and allergy season is slowly creeping closer and I can already begin to feel the effects. While I was there I had an excellent breathing experience and she even had a cat in the house. I’m highly allergic to cats so I was a little apprehensive when I saw him, but as I said, the oils seemed to help my breathing immensely as I could take deep full breathes without any restrictions. Warm eye patch and heated towels made for a a very relaxing afternoon that would destress just about anybody who has an open mind.

After she was finished she told me what she had seen regarding each chakra, sort of gave me a report and I must admit she was pretty accurate about some pretty personal information. She also told me that I’m a sort of natural at this because for a first time balancing, the “colors” were very bright and she got a lot of information from them. It will be interesting to see over the next few weeks, days, or months if any of what she said comes to fruition. I’d recommend anybody giving it a try just once to experiment to see what kind of results you may have.

My opinion is that it all comes down to having a balanced life, and the only way of achieving that is knowing who you are.

It took me a long time to understand that joy does not come from money, status, career, success or joining the high society. None of these things truly represent me as a person. Of course, it is important to have objectives in life, but it is even more important to treat life as an adventure and not as a mission.

Once I managed to defeat my frustrations, I felt more relaxed, calm, and a better person overall. I think my chakras balanced just a bit better.

It is very fortunate that you mentioned this, since I think that having a balanced life and being aware of your ego is one of the most important steps in becoming a good trader.

There are other methods of balancing chakras too. It's interesting to note that essential oils can be used to awaken each specific chakra and the same can be said for gem stones. Each chakra also corresponds to the elements. There is a lot to learn when it comes to chakra balancing – and it's quite a fascinating area of experience.
